For Sixteen dollars, this is great. Looks good and tells the time well, which is about all you’d want in a basic watch. The features all work on a basic level, though I do have some gripes.

Temperature – The sensor is right up against your wrist which skews the reading a bit (at one point I had the watch face flipped around so it was on the inside of my wrist. I was a little surprised when the temp read 90 degrees F)

Altimeter – Seems to work. I wouldn’t be able to test it but when I go up nine stories the altimeter went up 66 feet or so. Not perfect but pretty close.

Barometer- Again I can’t really test it that well. Right now its raining out, and looks like its going to be raining for the next ten hours or so and the barometer reads cloudy (although getting worse). Not a perfect science anyway so I’m not super worried.

Stopwatch – Works great and has a memory function too.

Water Resistance – I looked all over the packaging to find to what degree this watch was water resistant and couldn’t find anything. On the back of the watch it is simply stamped with "Water Resistant – Stainless Steel". So I don’t know to what degree it will hold up to abuse.

Overall – for dollars this is a great buy. I couldn’t recommend it for the original price they were asking, but for this new discount I’m impressed.

Questionable Reliability, July 15, 2013

I purchased this watch mainly to use on backpacking trips to measure altitude and overnight temperatures since it has a min/max temperature memory. When I received it, I was quite pleased with the way it looked. It wasn’t "chunky" as I had expected and I thought I could probably wear it as an everyday watch in addition to using it on hikes. The instructions were a little cryptic, but after studying them for a while, I was able to figure out how to set time, date, etc. The barometric pressure is not pre-calibrated so you have to set that also when you set the time and date. If you don’t have a barometer to set it to, the easiest thing I found is to find the closest weather station to you on weatherunderground (website) and use that pressure. However, once the pressure is set, you still have to set the altitude because it will change even if you don’t move based on varying barometric pressure. If you have a smartphone, there are several free apps that will tell you the altitude from your phone’s GPS, so you can set the altitude from that. So I wore the watch for a few days and played around with the temperature and altitude displays locally while travelling around town. The temperature is pretty accurate as long as you’re not wearing the watch, and it has to be off your wrist for a good half hour before you’ll get an accurate reading. The altitude seemed to be fairly accurate as well (of course taking into account changes in the barometric pressure). On the fourth day I had the watch, I went on a weekend backpacking trip starting from the top of a 4,000 foot mountain. I left the altitude display on and it very accurately indicated the correct altitude as we descended the mountain. Then after about an hour at about 2300 feet, the display just went blank and would no longer operate. I tried resetting the watch using the proper button push sequence but that didn’t help. I really had high hopes for this watch. It was good looking, had all the functions I was looking for, seemed to be pretty accurate on temperature and altitude, and was a great deal at . I don’t know if mine was defective or stopped working because of perspiring while hiking, but either way, I couldn’t recommend it because of its poor reliability. I would have given it a 5-star rating if it had kept working, but since it stopped, it’s a 1-star.

This little low priced watch is knock’n my socks off. It is right on when it comes to the temperature, and the barometer functions great also. Very sensitive. Has a great look and is not klunky at all. The other nice thing is that you have the time showing no matter what mode you are in. For sixteen bucks, it is GREAT. (Cannot comment on the altimeter, havent used it here)
