![]() H1 Heart Rate Sensor, By
This review is from: Polar H1 Heart Rate Sensor (Sports)
I purchased this sensor as a backup for the sensor that came with my FT60 after contacting Polar. My original sensor was trouble free for about 4 months. When it started losing signal during workouts, I assumed the battery was dying. Couldn’t get the cover off and ruined the slot in the cover trying.
The new sensor is a different design and calls for hand washing of the strap assembly as opposed to weekly machine washing of the original strap assembly that came with the FT60 ( washing of both is to be done after removal of the transmitter). This replacement worked flawlessly for me for the first month and a half, but now it has also begun to occasionally lose signal during workouts. And though I filled out Polar’s customer satisfaction survey after speaking to their service people, and checked the “contact me” box at the end of the survey, I was never contacted. I love the FT60 and the PolarFit program, but was put off by the attitude of the first tech service guy I dealt with and have been less and less pleased with the reliability of the H1’s, and still don’t know what to do with the damaged original that I can’t get the battery cap off of. Started at 5 stars for the whole FT60, currently 3 stars, but drifting toward 2 … 0

Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
This review is from: Polar H1 Heart Rate Sensor (Sports)
I am one of the many people who got a wearlink strap with removable/snap on heart monitor to replace my old T31 All in one heart monitor/strap with non-replaceable battery.
I am also one of the many people who kept getting a rash from the wearlinks. I figured that i would go back to the old strap but I noticed that the new H-1 transmitter seemed to have rubberized strap. Sure enough i got it and it’s great. Transmitter is very strong. At gym, all three machines in a row read off mine. Have never had problems with interference so don’t know how improved the 5.4ghz is over the 2.4 ghz. By the way, Polar customer service gave me a free additional H-1 strap and told me I didn’t have to return the wear link. 0

![]() do not buy the H1 model, By
I have had 2 Polar watches with this latest transmitter and the conductive rubber on the back of the strap does not work. It can lower your heart rate reading from 20-40bps. I had it happen immediately on an RS100 and within 1 week of use on the FT7. Polar is sending me an older model transmitter and belt. This new design is a disaster.
